This Privacy Policy for African Tourist (“we”/”us” or “our”) describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and or share (“process”) your personal information when you use our services, including when you:

- WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal Information
In short, we collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, contact us or use our services.
The personal information we collect may include your name, phone number, email address, billing address and debit/ credit card numbers.
Payment information
We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases, such as your credit/debit card number and the security code associated with your bank card. All payment data is handled and stored by Payfast; you may access their privacy notice here. We also fulfil online payments via Yoco, you can access their privacy notice here.
Browsing information
Log, usage and device data
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate our website. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name and contact information) but may include device and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our services. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our services and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Cookies
If you fill in a contact form on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, contact number and email address in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you don’t have to fill in you details again when you complete another contact form. These cookies will last indefinitely.

When we no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete such information.
- HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the internet of information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cyber criminals or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal or modify your information. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our platform is at your own risk.

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be expressed and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Opting out of marketing and promotional communications
You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us on move@africantourist.co.za. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you — for example, to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features. or services of our Services.
- CONTROLS FOR DO NOT TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised.
As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

Yes, we may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a ‘Revised’ date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
- HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE OR DELETE THE DATA THAT WE COLLECT FROM YOU?
Based on the POPIA Act, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, details about how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, or delete your personal information.
